Gaming

December 2014

Game Night

Join us at the library every Monday night this winter for a weekly Game Night! Bring your favorite card or board game and play against a new opponent. Or learn and practice Cribbage for this spring’s Annual Hildegarde Dolson Memorial Cribbage Tournament. All ages and level of play are invited. Registration is not required; just stop in and play.

Gamer’s Guild

Gamer’s Guild meets every other Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM (December 3 & 17). This card game and portable video game night is for ages 8 to 15. If you are older than 15 but would still like to participate, please see Dungeon Master/Pokemon Master and teen librarian Miss Kathleen about volunteering. We’ll play card games (Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Magic, Dungeons and Dragons, etc.) and Gameboy, PSP, and Ninenndo 3DS (Pokemon, Legos Batman, Megaman, etc.). Please bring your own game cards and equipment. Teens are responsible for their own cards and video games. No registration is required and snacks will be provided.

December 17 is the last meeting of the Gamer’s Guild, due to a lack of participants. If there’s interest, Miss Kathleen will resume the club this summer.

Thunder: Teen Dinner & Gaming

Thunder continues this month, meeting Thursdays (December 4, 11 & 18) from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Thunder is a weekly dinner and gaming group for teens in 6th through 12th grade.  Join us for Wii games, board games, and dinner. Thunder typically meets weekly, every Thursday from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Registration is not required, but Thunder is limited to the first 15 kids who sign in each week.

Thunder sends a big thank you to our local Save A Lot Food Store for their generous donation, which helped us enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner!
