Who are the Friends?
The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Franklin Public Library. We are community members who work to promote and enhance the library and what it has to offer.
The Friends help by volunteering at the library, helping to organize and staff the semi annual book sales, and host events to raise funds for services and resources. Recent fundraisers have included the annual Quiltathon, Cocktails and Canvas painting classes, and the 50/50 raffles. We have donated to many programs and resources around the library, including the children’s Robotics program and towards the replacement of the library’s heating system.
As a member of the Friends, you are invited to a special, Friends only Preview Sale the night before our semi annual Books and More Sales open to the public, and discounts to some Friends’ events. Membership is also a great way to share your ideas with the library. Friends also support the library with help at various fundraisers and events. Please consider joining today!
