All of our activities are suspended as long as the library is closed, tentatively scheduled to reopen April 6. However we need to continue to advocate for our library, to use the services available on franklinlibrary.org and to promote the activities that are still on our schedule.
The Winter 50/50 winner will be announced after April 15th and the Bingo Fundraiser in June is still a go at this time, we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime we need ticket sellers and other organizers to get ready. Contact us please!
The Soup Sale, Quiltathon, and Book Sale preparations are on hold.
Our annual meeting and election of officers will probably be held on the next 2nd Tues we are open. Please consider stepping up to continue our mission. The current board is ready for a break, new energy is needed, where would you like to see out group in the next few years?

Book Sale- New Developments! We need more volunteers than ever. To be a book sale volunteer clearances are required, get your paperwork in order to be ready for May. Forms are available at the Library’s Front Desk or via email. An organization meeting TBD.
Spring Bingo Fund-raiser is in the planning stages! Helpers are needed with preparations NOW. Please leave us a message via email@example.com or messaging us on facebook-www.facebook.com/franklinfriends.…we need help getting the prizes, ticket sellers, and help with advertising and follow up. Do you have a basket to donate for raffling at the Bingo Fundraiser- please contact us.

Adult Volunteers are needed at the Library for various activities also. They are required to get clearances because children may be involved. The fees for these are waived for non-profit entities such as the Library. In addition to activities helpers the Library needs regular volunteers to shelve books, assist with youngster programs or work on other projects for a few hours each week, there is a form available at the Circulation Desk to get this started. Who are the Friends?
The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the Franklin Public Library. We are community members who work to promote and enhance the library and what it has to offer.
The Friends help by volunteering at the library, helping to organize and staff the semi annual book sales, and host events to raise funds for services and resources. Recent fundraisers have included the annual Quiltathon, Cocktails and Canvas painting classes, and the 50/50 raffles. We have donated to many programs and resources around the library, including the children’s Robotics program and towards the replacement of the library’s heating system.
Membership is also a great way to share your ideas with the library. Friends also support the library with help at various fundraisers and events. Please consider joining today!
