New Friday Library Hours

Beginning this Friday, February 3, 2017, we will close at 6:00 PM on Fridays.

The new hours are in response to usage patterns. Friday evenings are the least busy, and shifting our operating hours allows us to have more staff available during busier times.

Take Our Website Survey

Our website hasn’t been upgraded since 2008! We think an upgrade is definitely in order, don’t you? But we need your help to make sure the site serves you the best it can.

Please take a few minutes and fill out our Website Survey Form. It’s a brief 10 question survey that will help us tremendously in our redesign efforts. Please give us your input and share the survey link with everyone you know. The more voices that are included, the better our website can be.

The survey closes at the end of the month. Please let your opinions be known. By helping us, we can better help you. As always, thank you for your time and attention. We never stop appreciating it.

Thank You from Thunder

We would like to send a thank you out to the Fraternal Order of Eagles: Aerie No. 328, and to Terri Grove for their generous donations to the teen program, Thunder.

Thunder has been a popular program for many years. With Miss Kathleen at the helm, Thunder is a safe, neutral space for teens to gather weekly. They play games, share a meal, and form bonds amongst each other and with the library.

It costs $30.00 a week to make a meal for the program, and every bit helps. If you would like to help support Thunder, feel free to donate a local grocery store gift card (Giant Eagle, Shop ‘n Save, or Save-a-Lot) of any monetary value to the library.

Upcoming: Books and More Sale

We are currently accepting donations of books, puzzles, and games in good condition for the an upcoming Books and More Sale. The next Books and More Sale is on June 3 and 4 at the Christ United Methodist Church, 1135 Buffalo Street. Parking is available off Chestnut Street behind the church.

This is a two-day only event, so come early for best selection. The sale is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 3, and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 4.

A wide selection will be available for sale, but if you snooze, you lose!
