One Card, Three Libraries

As you have likely heard by now, Venango County funded a special project to unite the infrastructure of our three county libraries: Cooperstown, Oil City, and Franklin. We now all use the same library software, called TLC, and share a new, single library card that can be used at all three locations.

This benefits our patrons in a number of ways:

  • TLC is a modernized library system. The new online catalog offers more Google-like searching capabilities, and is optimized to use on mobile devices. There is also a special, kids-only catalog.
  • Books from all three of our county libraries show up in your searches!
  • The new system sends you a reminder via text or email two days before your items are due, as well as notify you of any arrived holds or overdue items.
  • The new system keeps track of all the books you’ve checked out.

Some checkout policies and fines have varied slightly in order to keep them the same across all three libraries.

Please, stop in your library today and pick up your new card!

Overdrive Not Working

Our popular digital branch, Overdrive, is not functioning currently as we work to implement our our new computer system that integrates all three county libraries into one system.

We hope to have Overdrive back and running as soon as possible, and will let you know as soon as that happens. We know how many of you use and love it!

We apologize and thank you for your patience. As always, thank you for supporting your libraries.
