(Teens Into Taking Action Now)
Teen Coordinator Stephen Snyder is rolling out a new program T.I.T.A.N. that will meet every Wednesday from 3-6 pm. T.I.T.A.N. will carry on with some of the traditions and activities of the former teen group Thunder. Teens will still be able to just hand out, have discussions pertaining to books and other topics, play both board and video games, and receive homework assistance if needed. T.I.T.A.N. will be both teen oriented and teen driven. The library’s further investments for T.I.T.A.N. will be highly influenced by teen interests.
Head over to the teen page for additional information and participate in our teen interest survey.
A note from Mr. Stephen:
I just want to give a quick note to our teen patrons who were not able to make it to the T.I.T.A.N. meeting this week.
Here are a few incentive points regarding teens getting involved with helping the library obtain the Mini Grant being offered by the Venango County Youth Philanthropy Program:
1. You are helping out the library.
2. You are helping out today’s and the future’s teens.
3. You “might” be able to incorporate this project into a senior project for your school.
4. This working experience is a way of giving back to the community which looks mighty impressive on a resume.
5. If you and your fellow teens are successful in obtaining this grant, I will personally write a letter of recommendation for each of you.
That’s pretty amazing that you have such an opportunity to achieve five different tasks by obtaining one grant.
We are always welcoming new members for T.I.T.A.N.; all you have to do is show up on Wednesdays between 3:00 and 6:00.
Best of luck T.I.T.A.N.s!
